I trust the rationale for the manner and timing of the release of L4 by Logos. There were a couple surprises however:
1) The announcement sounded as if one had to crossgrade and the website certainly did not indicate otherwise (the only options presented were upgrade or buy). Though I am tight financially, I figured I had to crossgrade in order to keep on benefitting from updates, new features and such and that is the reason I did. Only later, did I find out -- by chance -- on the forums that one could download L4 without buying anything.
2) In considering the purchase, I took a look at the extra resources I would obtain. As it turns out, they are not all in. It seems that some may still be in pre-publication. For those who made the purchase in hope of gaining access to these resources now, again (unless I missed something) there lacked clarity in communication.
I am sure that the developers, marketers and sales persons are all very busy, but I do think that communication needs to be better. Not everybody reads the forums (nor should they have to) and even for those who do -- like me -- a lot of information is buried deep within the countless threads.
Saying this, I thank Logos for all their hard work, the great product and excellent customer service.
