It was necessary for me to have my compute rebuilt. I am now having a hard time reinstalling the software. What are the steps I need to do to get this done.
You didn't say what specifically you are having a problem with, what platform you are installing to, etc. Check out this link to the Installation FAQ, it should easily guide you through what you need to know. Feel free to ask more specific questions...
Welcome Richard
Basically all you need to do is reinstall Logos from this link http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe as this will download all your resources (several GB) and index them. Your documents will sync from Logos but could take some time depending on the volume of Notes, Clippings, Collections etc. that you have.
If you have a backup of your previous installation then consider Method 2.
Note: this assumes a Windows computer.
I am having a similar problem. I don't have my original serial number that I used when I first installed the software on my laptop. I borrowed a copy of my friends disk to get it installed but when I tried to put it on my dad's laptop it wouldn't let me do it as my friend has installed it on a few computers also. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The program can be downloaded free. The resources, however, cost money. If you purchased a copy, it should have a corresponding email address (yours) which works like an unlock code. You are NOT allowed to use your friends account. That would be stealing. If you are just using your friends CD to install the software, that's OK. You will then enter your personal email address, which is associated with the content you purchased, and it will download from Logos.
Richard,
I had to reinstall my system software which meant starting at the beginning. I just bit the bullet time wise and did Logos from scratch. This is quite a lenghty process because you need to make sure that your Microsoft updates are completed for the most part, the NET portion must be on your machine to install Logos. I have tried in the past but have not been able to do the short cut method of copying my resources to an external hard drive and copying them back onto the computer during installation. This is why I have opted for the original process, although it takes about a day to download the 10 gig and index the resources.
It would be cool if there were a way within Logos to do a backup/restore by burning your resources to either a DVD or external hard drive. Just thinking out loud on this.
Blessings,
Don
After completing Microsoft updates, planning to close Logos 4 on an old computer, copy resources folder, then scan resources on new computer using wiki Quick Installation onto multiple computers => Method 3 (Saves resource downloading only)
Logos 4 resource scanning copies resource files along with updating database files. In contrast, Libronix 3 allows me to copy resource files into new resources folder since Libronix 3 "finds" them at next launch. Copying directly into Logos 4 resources folder does not work.
