Right click on "amillennial" nets me nothing…

This seems like odd behavior to me.

That's just because none of the dictionaries have an entry for it. I've experienced it too.

Most
of my theological dictionaries cover it in a section on the
"Millennium". The real problem is that none of my general English
dictionaries define it either. They usually cover all the forms of a
word (noun, adjectival, adverbial, etc) if they have any, but in this
case I guess it's too technical a word for them to include.

I think it's probably because it isn't in LCV (Logos Controlled Vocabulary). If they added it, they could make it be a parallel word that would also take you to the same topical entries as Amillennialism does, which is in LCV:

Right-clicking (and double-clicking) searches the headword index in your resources for that word (in priority order). The word has to be in the headword index for a resource for it to be found in that resource. For most dictionaries, the headword index corresponds to the list of entries in the table of contents. The Dictionary of the Later New Testament and Its Developments does not have an entry for amillennialism or amillennial.

Just having the word in the text doesn't help Logos do a lookup. Search is different from a look-up and will find all occurrences of a word (not just headwords or entry words).

Create a collection of the dictionaries you want, and select that collection in the search panel when entering your search.

For example, have a collection called "Dictionaries - English" defined by this rule:

type:(dictionary,encyclopedia) lang:english -title:lexicon -title:glossary -title:abridged -title:vine

EDIT: Whoops! Todd beat me to it. Comforting to know we both gave pretty much the same answer.

Create a collection for your dictionaries (actually use use type:encyclopedia because that's what these all have as their type; a dictionary in Logos is a basic language dictionary with simple word definitions, not longer articles like these; you could create a collection that includes both if that's what you want to search in).

Then limit your search to just that collection:

Put your library and your collections window side by side, and drag a resource from the library window to the space in the Collections window just under where it says "+ Plus these resources:"
