Recommendation? Something like The Justification of God...

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone had any resource recommendations for me. I was looking for something like Piper's The Justification of God (i.e. dealing with similar issues) but that was somewhat 'lighter' and more generally accessible?

I know that it's ANYTHING but light...but the Piper book is really really worth working through!

Hi Robert,

I have (several times! - and I still think I need to work through it again!) it wasn't for me, but for a friend who I probably will one day encourage them to work through the Piper book, but feel something to get them going and thinking first may be in order!

But I agree with you that it is really really worth working through! [:)]

Okay I may be getting this wrong. Pipers book 'The Justification of God' is dealing with Election/Predestination ( Romans 9) but you have linked to a book that is dealing with justification by faith, a good one i must add.

Perhaps that is what the OP had in mind (justification by faith) in inviting suggestion.

Whoops! Sorry - you're quite right. I was thinking of Piper's "The Future of Justification" for which the book I suggested would be a suitable fit. "The Justification of God" is quite different.

God spot Ted... I hadn't got around to looking at Marks suggestion properly until now...I'll keep hunting for something on topic! Too many ways of using the same word!
