4.3 Beta 7: Scrolling to end of resource by dragging scroll thumb doesn't work consistently

Scrolling to the end of a resource using the scroll bar thumb is
problematic. You usually can't get all the way down to the bottom of the
resource this way, and every time you try it, you get down to a
different point. It's inconsistent. This video demonstrates the problem.
Sorry, there's no sound. I goofed on the recording. But I think you can
get the picture just by watching. Every time I drag the scroll thumb
down, I'm dragging it as far down as it can possibly go, and sometimes I
click on the down arrow at the bottom of the scroll bar and that too
doesn't get me all the way down to the bottom.

I have the same problem in the stable 4.2b SR-1 (4.22.5.1109) release and have had it in all previous builds as well, with all kinds of resources. It's driving me nuts constantly, however I always forgot to report it. Thanks for bringing this up, Rosie! Please, Logos, this should be fixed, as things like these give me the impression working with a somehow poorly designed software, while Logos 4 should really be and wants to be state of the art.

The scroll bar "oscillates" about this position & can't be dragged any further. I have to use the keyboard down arrow to get the remaining 10 lines. At other times it occurs 3-4 lines from the end.

If you know you want to go to the end, why bother with the scroll bar? Simply use the <end> key. Instant results.

I usually do, which is why I hadn't run across this problem until now.

There are multiple ways of doing things in the software, but all of the ones that are supposed to work should work.

I would suggest that the problem with scrolling rather than using the <end> key is tied to the necessity of fetching a new segment of code as one progresses to the end. When scrolling it is necessary to fetch various segments (all segments ?) along the way. When you jump to the end, you simply fetch the last segment.

I will leave it for Logos to determine the reason for this not working as expected, and to decide whether they want to fix it or not. All I know is that when I was a developer on Word we managed to make it work fine.
