Uninstall 3 After Installing 4?

So I've installed Logos 4, downloaded my 6+GB of updates and got everything indexed. From what I've gathered thus far, everything in 4 is installed in a different location and I believe the file structure is new. It seems that I can safely uninstall my 3.0f, correct? Would love to free up that space. I'm not worried about losing notes or settings, etc.

Any tweaky things to look out for? Hidden files/folders/registry entries? I usually use Revo Uninstaller to scrub for such items. But I don't want to ditch anything shared.

If you don't care about Notes or Highlights, then barring any insight from someone else on the forum, there should be no problem removing 3.0 completely.

Before uninstalling L3, make sure you understand what you won't get in L4.

I don't believe L4 shares anything with L3. But maybe someone who knows for sure should chime in.

Thanks. I don't think it will be a problem but I had to ask before plowing ahead. I've got a dual install (laptop/desktop) anyway so I can use one as a guinea pig.

Yes everything is there 2ce, except for PBBs, video resources, courseware, old help files and maybe a few other things. And, if you upgraded or crossgraded, a few new ones thrown in just for fun.

As far as what's in the downloads, there's no direct way to tell. Yet. We're hoping that Logos will eventually tell us what's new on our machines (maybe on our home page?). But so far they've had bigger fish to fry.

EDIT: Actually some of those Libronix resources are replaced by rebuilt Logos4 resources. Just to be clear. They won't be exact duplicates.

Yes. You have a set of resources in v3 and now you got also a set of resources in v4. They are not the same, many of them. Logos 4 is entirely separate program from v3.

Good guesser. Many are rebuilt specifically for L4 and won't work at all in L3.

Logos promised to update some of the resources for v3 later on. But new things specific to v4 will not be available, I think. They would not work in v3.
