Word distribution within a defined set

I am doing an intense study of Psalm 119. Part of my research includes identifying the key words of the psalm. I would like to see which words appear most often in the psalm. Is there a way for the psalm to be analyzed so that I can see which words appear three or more times? Can this be done with multiple chapters of text, for example, Psalms 146-150?

As far as I can see, this would be very easy with the Vocabulary List feature, which (among other features) provides a list of words in a certain bible text. Unfortunately it works only in L3, not in Logos 4. You might give it a try.

The search gurus maybe have some of their @V @P ... whatever syntax to accomplish this directly in BHS

You can also do a Passage Guide from the Home Screen on Ps 119 and view the Interesting Words section. You get a graph of English:

or Hebrew:

These are called Word Clouds, you can read about them on the Internet. Good for letting you see quickly overall important words, helpful in deriving themes, etc.

You can do a wildcard search in analysis view - for details of this please see http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Changing_the_type_of_Bible_search

Please note that wildcard searches take time.

In the sample below I have taken Ps 146-150 and the search produces:

If I then "drag" the results column to the space shown I get:

which should give you what you are looking for.

There are several places on the web to do word analysis. My favorite is:

textalyser.net

Not only does it search for words but it finds 2-5 word phrases.

All have to do is paste your text into the box ( Enter your text to analyze:) and hit analyze text.

Note: Be sure to check the Bible Text Only under the Visual Filters before coping and pasting.
