Gareth Reese's commentary on Acts

I've renewed my request to the Logos developers to provide Mr. Reese's commentary on Acts in Logos format. It's a great commentary...the best I've ever read on Acts. Hopefully if enough of us "prod" them, they respond positively. How about "jumping on the bandwagon?" Thanks.

Why not post your request on the suggest forum? As it is you have posted on the wrong forum.

I would post on the suggest forum and link it to this thread http://community.logos.com/forums/t/30593.aspx so that Logos can see the level of interest.

Part of the problem will be convincing Gareth to allow his books to be published electronically. He is somehow convinced that he will lose money if it is offered in anything other than paper format. I have talked at length with him and he is starting to "see the possibilities," but he is still concerned about losing money AND he would definitely want to see the final product BEFORE it would be released to the "public" so that he could be assured it is what he intended.

Having said all of this, I would love to see Acts and his other NT commentaries offered as well, but some of them haven't even been put in book form yet. They are still in his big classroom notebooks that he still teaches from each semester. He is working to get them into book form as he can. He is 78 or so and I'd really like to see them in book form before it is too late. THEN, I'd like to see them in Logos!

Yeah, Bill, I can understand his apprehension then. Well, hopefully something can be done to permit him to allow this to happen. His commentaries would surely be a blessing to all who read them.

I have all of the commentaries that he has completed so far in paper version (mostly from "having" to use them in his classes). They are loaded with interesting information from many sources. I especially like his special studies. Once you've sat in one (or more) of his classes and then read his commentaries, you can almost hear his vocal inflections as you read.

It is a joy and privilege to go "back home" to my Alma Mater and visit with Gareth. Even after students graduate from the college, he still finds time to follow their work and ministry AND he want to help us to continue growing in the Love of the Lord. Unfortunately, not too many people know of him (yet), but once they can see his scholarship by reading his commentaries, they can appreciate his dedication to the Kingdom.
