Anyone who studied Aramaic or Hebrew may find this collection interesting. As we all know the language of the book of Job can be very enigmatic. This collection contains three resources that deal with the Book of Job in Northwest Semitic context (Aramaic, Ugaritic, Phoenician etc.). 2 detailed commentaries on Job 1-14 and 29-31 and one dealing with the peculiarities of the grammar of Job.
It also contains the famous commentary by Fitzmyer on The Genesis Apocryphon which is a very important scroll from Qumran. (1Q20 in the Qumran Sectarian Manuscript collection)
It also contains a commentary by Fitzmyer to the Aramaic Inscriptions of Sefire. These inscriptions contain treaties dating to the eighth century. The text itself is contained in the Logos Aramaic inscriptions resource with an English translation (you can find other translations in ANET and COS). But if you want to understand the text thoroughly with a resource that guides you through the language of the inscription word by word, this is the resource for you.
You also get a book that deals critically with some of the suggestions of Dahood regarding the affinities between Ugaritic and Biblical Hebrew. James Barr's objections to Dahood are also dealt with.
All that for less than 100$. Am I the only one to see the potential of this collection?
