Highlighting Search Results

Is there someway to apply a highlighting style to search results?

For example, I just did a search for "abide" in the NT - it of course applies the standard pink highlighting to every passage. However, this highlighting is not permanent and only related to the search. Is there someway to automatically apply a standard highlighting style (say a blue box filled with light blue background) to every instance of the search result - or to those instances that I select?

It is a step in the right direction. At this point it becomes conditional highlighting (to coin a term) rather than regular highlighting. Had not thought about using it - but it does it is doable. I would prefer regular highlighting - so I don't need to remember to turn on the correct (or all) visual filters. When I underline something in my hard copy Bible, it stays underlined. I guess I would prefer the ability to do this occasionally within LOGOS as well. I can do it manually - would seem natural to do it automatically at times as well.

All highlighting
is conditional, because you can turn on/off the highlighting palettes
via the Visual Filters menu. So just create one visual filter (called, say, "Search Results") that you
add to whenever you think of another search term that you'd like to
highlight as well. Use the same or different highlighting styles for
each search term.

The highlighting you apply this way will be permanent as long as you don't turn off the VF or delete that line in it.

When you create a new VF, it is on by default,
so you don't need to remember to turn it on. Only if you want to limit
the highlighting of a particular search term to a particular passage do
you need to create a separate VF.

Use "Match all word forms" on the VF panel menu if you want the searches to be more general (e.g., find abide, abides, abiding).

Don't forget you can set it once for all relevant resources - once you create a visual filter and try it out with a resource, RIGHT CLICK on the Visual Filter name, under the three-concentric circles thingy, and you will see you can click "Show in all appropriate resources". Turn this on and you never have the turn it on again, it will always display. That's what you were referring to?
