I just purchased the software. Clicked on the icon, entered my email (username) and password and it says can't connect to Logos. Any ideas?
First, welcome to the Logos Forums.
Second, perhaps there was a temporary problem with the Logos servers, or you may have entered your user name or password incorrectly. Have you retried?
Sometimes users have more than one email account and enter the wrong one. Try to go online to Logos.com and if you are logged in, log out and try to log back in with the email account you are using for Logos. It should work and log you in. Does it?
You can get into Logos without connecting to the servers, but to get all your resources downloaded you will need to connect so we'll have to solve this problem.
Are you behind a firewall? Sometimes they can cause problems like this.
Ok, I downloaded the software on my desktop - I initially downloaded on my laptop. It let me log in and its downloading on my desktop so I don't know what the deal is with the laptop..maybe I need to update IE.

I'll try to disable the firewall too. I need it on my laptop more than the desktop so hopefully it will work.

There is no dependency on IE. If you enable logging, retry the installation and upload logs we can get a better idea of what is happening.
