BUG: tapping the edge of the screen where there is a footnote doesn't work but results in "paging ba

I noticed that in a bible where there is a footnote hyperlink that is near the edge of the screen, I found it impossible to tap the footnote but instead kept "paging back" or "paging forward"

 

This happens both on my Transformer tablet, and my X10.
