I want a standard search on any one term, such as "kingdom", to return 1 verse BEFORE and 1 verse AFTER as well as the verse containing the term.

I don't believe this is possible.
If you do a "Basic" search as opposed to a "Bible" search you will sometimes get text before and after the containing verse but it is not controllable or determinable.
If you click on the search results you will get to a Bible containing the whole passage but I don't believe a standard search will get you what you are looking for.
