Searching Göttingen Septuagint

Is there a way to make all the Göttingen Septuagint volumes function as a unit? e.g., when I work with Rahlfs I can type in a reference and it will take me there even if it is another book, so I cannot quickly jump around the corpus. As far as I can tell, searches seem to be restricted to a single open volume (or the dreaded "search everything"). Is there an easy way both to jump around the volumes and search them? I have seen that it functions as a unit with the text comparison tool, but that's about it. Thanks, -John

Unless you've tried this, I would think that you would just simply form (or build) a "collection" of the Göttingen Septuagint volumes .........

Thus ............ when you search that collection, you would be searching all of them at once ..........

John ... I haven't been able to duplicate your inability to type a verse reference in one Göttengen book that refers to another, and it not switch to the new book. I tried it in both Libronix and Logos4. The only guess I would make is whether the reference is recognized when you're typing.

Regarding the search, Milford's solution is what I do (make a collection).

I find that no matter what book you have open in the Gottingen LXX, if you type a verse in it takes you straight there (as Rahlfs does), that is, to any reference in the whole LXX.

Yes, this seems to be true...but when you go to the search panel...lets say you are searching for αγαπη, type it in under the "all text" field, and then in the "in" field...you will see the resource (single) that you have open...if you choose that, it will only search in that open book, but if you scroll down (the side bar is hard to discern at times), there seems to be a predefined collection called "Gottingen Septuagint", so if you choose that, it will search the whole LXX.

Thanks all. You're right. Typing in the reference does make it jump around as I wanted it to. Maybe I never tried, just assuming that it wouldn't (I don't know), but I'm thrilled now. I'll try out trying to make a single searchable resource. Much appreciated!
