How to find which Greek Manuscripts have a particular verse?
I'm trying to find a quick way to search Greek MSS to determine if they have a particular verse (ie, John 5:4). Thanks for your help!

Hi Lankford,
you can use Text Comparison to view the verse that you are checking on, if its found it will be shown.
To make this easier, i create a collection of Original Language Bibles (Greek NT)

There is not a reliable way to perform that search e.g. you can perform a Basic Search for <=Jn 5:4> in a suitable collection and you may get footnotes explaining why it is omitted or not, but some Greek Bibles/MSS do not use footnotes.
EDIT: Steve's method is the most satisfactory for Bibles!

If I search a collection of Greek MSS (lang:Greek) I only get hits in P66 & P75 from The Text of the Earliest Greek New Testament Manuscripts (I have Scholar's Silver). Ensure that your search term is exactly as below:
<=Jn 5:4>

Option: in Text Comparison, can choose series "The Text of the Earliest New Testament Greek Manuscripts" (suggest ignore case and ignore punctation marks):

Hmm, I cannot get this to work. Does it make a difference if I'm using a Mac?

It is not working on my mac either....I just get one line of text...The ignore functions are also grayed out

Text Comparison can be bit challenging to select item(s) for comparison.

Selecting individual books works but nothing happens if I select a collection.

Try starting to write the name, and then select. That seems to work. Selecting while the box is still empty doesn't work for me either. Yet another bug...

Buggy on both Mac and PC; sometimes takes several attempts to click on items in drop down list for Text Comparison.
