Bug: Deleting PB is not complete

I deleted Peacemakers on the PB context menu but this message in Library was still displayed after the action was complete. And it was not removed from the Resources folder after a restart.

When I rebuilt it from the source I had two entries in Library (the original has the Rating) and two PB files in Resources.
So now I have two searchable Resources and the only way to differentiate them is the Description!
EDIT: I had expected to be able to completely remove the original. Now I have one resource that cannot be deleted.

You can only delete from certain areas of the book. Took a long time to find the sweet spot as to where you can delete. Still waiting on the catalog to update.

Dave, you have to wait until the tab containing all the PBB has returned to its normal colour. Mine becomes grayed out after deleting a book. Once this is finished the updating library catalog message does not show up in the library.

Do you mean the "Delete" below, as it only appears when I right click in area 1. Fill in Library Information?

You are right Dave. It should be right clik anywhere.

I'm trying to understand your posts i.e. what/where did you delete? Are we on the same page?

Deleting a Personal Book does not initially remove the resource from my Library panel either. Though for me, it is removed after restarting the program. In that regard, it should either not require a restart or give a prompt somewhere that indicates one is necessary, so I will report that.
But in your OP you've said that after a restart the book has still not been removed from your library, correct? Is the book actually available for use? Before I restart the program, while the book still appears in my library, I get this message when trying to use it:
Either way, there's a bug here somewhere. Just want to determine if it is the book not being removed from the library panel or not being removed from anywhere but the PB panel.
In the meantime, you can remove the duplicate book you don't want by moving it to the Hidden Resources area in Program Settings.

The resource I "deleted" is fully available for use but does not appear in the PB Tool.

This is not a good way to handle "unwanted" items when they should have been removed by the software; see obsolete resources from the first beta of L4!

This was the first helpful information that showed me how to delete.
It appears to work.

SORRY - It does not remove them from Library - just from Tools/Personal Books "listing"
EDIT And as Dave has said, even after a re-start (and re-index) the so-called "deleted" books were still in the Library and available to open etc.

I'm not suggesting this as a solution in general, merely a workaround for this particular issue with Personal Books while we look into resolving it. [:)] I'll submit a report to the Developers.

I have my doubts that a hidden PB can be unhidden; that it may end up as a permanently hidden resource along with the obsolete ones!

Tried to unhide two hidden PBBs. They disappeared from the Hidden Files list but did not reappear in the Library, even after restart. Not sure what happened to them.

Thanks Jack.
I did it with the book I had "deleted" and confirm what you observed. It is removed from the Resources folder but still has an entry in Catalog.db, which should not be there.

Did not check that file, as I did not know how to read it. Thanks for the information.

Is there a resolution for this?

Books that were created prior to the implementation of the Delete functionality in Beta 8 will not be deleted automatically. After deleting the book in the PB tool, delete the book file in Resources (find the resource ID in the resource info pane), then initiate a rebuild of the PB Index by deleting the files in the PersonalBookIndex folder.
