Fiction?

Is there a way to get a search result list of the fiction resources in my library or do I have to tag them specifically?

Entering subject:fiction in the library gives me a result list that is all fiction, but I'm not sure if the subject tagging is reliable enough to count on it. But you can use that as a base (if you're building a collection), and then tag books manually that get missed (i.e., use subject:fiction mytag:fiction as your collection rule).

Thanks Todd. I got to wondering about this when I bought Facade for 99 cents on Vyrso yesterday. Alas, it's subject metadata is blank.

Harvard Classics have Subject "Fables, folklore."
It sure would be nice if the metadata was consistent!

Well, the Vyrso books don't get any subject metadata. Plus PBBs won't either, and since I'll probably be adding classic literature via PBB, the use of my own tags will be an increasing requirement.

You can add subject metadata to PBB's:

Yes that's what I have started, a Fiction tag.
Great news on the metadata for PBBs!

Vyrso books will likely not get subjects fields in the metadata, but Logos Edition books built specifically for Logos 4 should consistently have applicable subject fields. But certainly adding your own tags is an option. You also might start a Collection and add by publisher, if your fiction books have a publisher who does mostly fiction. It may be quicker than tagging books individually.
