Logos freezes when I look up a passage in passage guide

Hi,
I have been using Logos 4 weekly for 6 months? to write my sermons each week typing the passage into the search and getting the passage guide which has been really helpful. On Tues I do the same thing and get it all there ready and when I go to scroll down the whole program freezes (only Logos) the rest of the computer is fine.
I try again and have it freeze while it is looking up the resources. I was a little low on spare memory, so I thought I would clear things out and clean things up a bit thinking that could be the problem. I try again and I don't even get to the home page so I think maybe there is a glitch in Logos so I uninstall and reinstall and there is still no joy.
Probably the only thing that has changed was about three weeks ago I upgraded Norton, but Logos has been fine until this week. When all this started I had an update from Logos of about 500kb and that is about when it all started to go wrong, that was on Tues ( I was thinking that when I thought I would uninstall and reinstall).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Brett
by the way I am running Windows 7.

500k is a small update Brett. It sounds like a resource patch and I would suspect it was a bible. Did you happen to have on your home page a section which told you what had been updated?
If not than I'm going to suggest that you please enable Logging (http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging ) and upload your logs (http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs ) so we can take a look.
Thanks.

Here you go lets see if this is right.

These logs are not current. Please enable logging as explained above, start L4, perform something in PG. If it freezes, wait a minute and then close L4 and upload the logos4.log.

Looks like it's hanging at the webresources section.
My question would be, is this a permanent freeze or just a delay caused by the web access?
I have three different approaches.
1. Wait it out - see if it returns to function after a bit.
2. Restart Logos in offline mode (hold CTRL when you click the icon) and then run the report and see if it freezes.
3. Get rid of the web resources section in the passage guide...
try creating a custom passage guide without that section: Building a Custom Guide Example
Then run the report and see if it doesn't freeze.
In any of these scenarios, if you get a crashlog.txt then please be certain to upload that as well.

Did it freeze at the point where the log ends, where you are adding some web resources (sermon audio + sermon central) to a PG?
EDIT: slightly different Q to Thomas', as it looks like you used Add rather than the web resources being part of your PG

Dave,
I haven't edited any of the settings for the PG, these parts just appeared when I upgraded from Logos Series X to Logos 4
I tried what you said before and if I added anything but commentaries, it would freeze. And then if I tried to scroll through the text it would freeze.

Brett,
The first log indicates that after a four minute delay activity continued (Syncing in the background).
That means that Logos hasn't frozen completely.
The Second log doesn't appear to show a passage guide being run, did you attempt a PG? If not please do so in offline mode.

Thomas,
Here goes #3
I removed everything from the PG except the commentaries worked OK
I then added Cross References worked OK
I then added Grammar worked OK but had no grammar (I may not have that in this version)
I then added something else (I can't remember will let you know in the next post) frozen without completing loading

Yes I did, I will try it again.
What I added was a handout on the last one

Thomas,
I am probably not giving the time needed to let the program work slowly, but it is getting late here and I will need to go to bed. Is there any way to post a screen shot for you to look at?
I tried the PG again without internet access and it is still frozen. It managed to get the commentaries, the My Content, Music, that is all I am able to see as I can't scroll down.
I also got a message from Norton that Logos has topped out the CPU and I haven't had that problem before. I had a look and up until Logos was turned on the CPU was running at about 20% and then when Logos was started it started running at 98 - 100%. Doesn't make any sense.
I think I have been writing long enough now to give it time to work.
Here you go
I just looked at the log and it is 23:28, no logs between the 23:18 and now, Logos is still open and has been since the start of that log

I turned on the meters on my computer and with Logos frozen the CPU was working at 65%. Now that I have shut down Logos it is running at 9%

This is the way to track down the issue; just note the change you made each time.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your help. I ended up ringing tech support and they accessed my computer and fixed the problem, just a minor glitch.
It works fine now.
