Bug: Verse chooser list breaks completely (may be general scrolling-area bug)

This one is a bit strange! It happened to me by accident and took a couple of minutes to be able to repeat it.

The following is easiest for me to replicate using the verse chooser when using an apocryphal bible in landscape mode (where the OT list scrolls a lot).

I have replicated it in normal bibles in landscape mode.
I have NOT replicated in apocryphal bibles in portrait mode (and it can't happen for normal bibles in portrait mode.

QUESTION: where else are there scrolling regions? We should test this bug in those realms.

Symptom: I can make the entire scrolling region text disappear!

  • Open a bible w/ apocrypha (eg Biblia Sacra Vulgata)
  • Go to the Verse chooser (center tap, top-right multiline icon tap)
  • Switch to landscape mode if not already there
  • (You should see "Ge Ex Le..." but 1Ch at the end of the first line is word-wrapped)

Now... do the following carefully and slowly (I first did this by accident, just scrolling quickly with my thumb):

  • Touch "Es" (Esther, center of list) and slide UP a ways until the scrolling list stops.
  • (You should now see the last part of the OT book list; the only thing visible from the first line is the bottom half of "Ch" at the right edge, which is the wrapped portion of 1CH)
  • Now, touch the white space JUST ABOVE "Es" and slide down...
    • Slide down a little, and a LOT of white space shows above. Note that only "1Ch" from the first line is visible... the rest of the line is blank! And, you can see blank line(s) from above line 1. Stop while text is still showing and you can reverse this.
    • Continue sliding downward (I think you are "holding" the blank first line of the list?) and "fling" the list downward a bit as if you were scrolling to the top. Now, ALL the text has disappeared. The list itself has disappeared. And you can't get it back without going somewhere else in the app!

Ahh... now that I have described the process in very specific terms, I can easily replicate this 100% in any bible. Just follow the instructions!

Note: in the first "sliding" step, if you still see the (faded) bottom half of the first row of text, the problem will not happen. You've not slid far enough. Just slide upward once or twice until the first line completely disappears except for "Ch" at the right and half of the "1" above it.
