But there is really no practical way to "re-compile" - No matter what you do the originally created PBB still remains.

Even after deleting and or re-naming original source file, the PBB creation says "can not remove original" etc -- resulting book is then identical to earlier version.

Therefore you must somehow "copy" all of your "field" info and "about" information and then insert it into a entirely new document.

Correct?

I had this happen once. I think you may just need to restart Logos. I do know that the issue seemed to resolve itself after a while (but I don't remember how long the 'while' was).

Steve, I'm not certain what you are trying to do.

You can always re-compile a source via Build book if that is what you mean or are you trying to build two different PBB's from the one source file (albeit different content)?

It happens from time to time when, from any reason, the created pbb is not possible to be closed automatically. After closing the document (pbb) or restarting Logos it always solved the problem for me.

That might have been happening at thebeginning, but then I deleted the other books-but I still had trouble with a re-compile. Eventually one of them did re-compile, BUT I'm not sure now what I did differently that improved things.

That may be why I also had trouble getting an author graphic to show up--graphics appeared in the PBB pane for all versions of the various PBB's BUT in the Library, only about half of the six test books had an author graphic.
