The suggestion was already made so why are you starting a new thread? If you wish to revive it, simply add to it.
It needed a Fresh Approach I think a lot of users try to think out Logos' limitations for them. Therefore limiting so great a Possibility of Creativity. Very, Very seldom I have I heard anything of Faith in this Forum. Instead how it cannot Be done. Let Logos and God be the Judge of this, Pray for them. If they stop Leaning on Him as their Provider, they will feel His Correcting Hand.
Addition..
There could also be a programmable feature in the Program Settings allowing the user to choose whether or not He/ or She would like for Logos to "Pre" Index their software for them or not (and they can in turn do it themselves on their computer).
Douglas, Douglas, Douglas ... you never seem to learn. Things can not be done, because they're already done. This should be obvious. Why would you need an improved typewriter, if you already had a typewriter? See? If you improved the typewriter, it would no longer be the same typewriter.
Actually, my guess is that like many inventions, the 'creator' has 'made a decision'. Only by the mobs rioting at the gates can the obvious be addressed. And as you can see, the 'mobs' seem to enjoy watching their disk drives grind for hours with the little lights blinking on and off. Some even recommend fans for extra cooling, it is so absolutely fascinating, as the Cadillac of software prepares for Bible study.
Many years ago I was looking at some code and I asked the coder why it was so obviously inefficient. He was an older wiser gentleman and he smiled and answered, 'the users expect it'. Ah, yes.
Indeed, Douglas seems incapable of learning, but as a matter of fact there were different typewriters such as the QWERTY and the Dvorak (Does anyone use a typewriter for extensive document production today?).

It no longer seems to take "hours with the little lights blinking", I have been surprised at how quickly the indexing is performed of late. I think this is due to what might be called "sparse indexing" where only the changes are indexed and integrated into the rest.

I am Laughing uncontrollably now
