There is something anticlimactic about being encouraged to hijack. If only Stephen had said, "Please don't hijack this thread!" Then we'd have smoked that thread in the mac forum FGH mentioned earlier.
The irony here is that up until halo-dog came in, you all had "hijacked" the thread...it's supposed to be off-topic and all of you* were on topic....which means you hijacked the thread. Thankfully Philip came in here and saved the day by getting everything back on track!
[^o)]
*except for Praiser's "number post"...except that it was already in another thread, which sorta makes it generally on topic, which immediately makes it off topic

I have an idea. Its just not worth mentioning so I won't. Instead I'll just discuss the fact that I have an idea. I'm glad I have an idea. It makes me feel important that I have a thought. It doesn't happen very often so when it does I think about it a lot. Anybody else have an idea they don't want to mention?

OOOOH OOOH me me me! I have an Idea Philip. It's one of several actually, but it only vaguely correlates to some other ideas I've had. That makes this one unique - in a tangential sort of way.Philip Spitzer said:Anybody else have an idea they don't want to mention?
Speaking of Tangerines. I like them.

That is so cool! Maybe if we put both of our thoughts together we'll have two thoughts. Think it will work.
By the way, I like tangerines too.

I'm too busy messing around here to get involved in trivial matters like encouraging people to use the software. Maybe when I have more free time.

So, the current record for longest thread ever in the Logos forums stands at 624 posts.
The thread that holds second place is rapidly closing in for the
title and leads the third longest thread by a country mile. (Seriously: Meet and Greet (plus sale) is out of this world!)We thought it'd be fun to see if we could try to break the current record of 624 posts...even though we're now in the final half of Forum Week.
What's
the need for this thread? The "Meet and Greet" thread is set to surpass
the record today, probably. It's up to 617 posts already.0 -

Unless, maybe, No! It couldn't be Stephen foresaw the propensity of the "regulars" posting too many responses in the "Meet & Greet" thread. The final tally in that thread will be skewed by the fact not all posts were introductory ("Meet") but they are at least welcoming ("Greet".)
edit: OH, HORRORS! [:|]
Who let that woman post my picture without a signed release? There is gonna be some 'splainin' to do!

Some posters have unusual nicknames. Alabama24 comes from 2 sources: 1) I am an Alabama Crimson Tide Fan (Roll Tide) and 2) Alabama was taken as an email address many years ago so I added 24 to the end. I have used it ever since.
FWIW - I am sitting on the couch waiting for my wife to get home. We are about to take our two boys (5 & 2) on a 12 hour drive to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

And I'm not afraid to use them either!
Originally I kept them in case of power failure (I do live in the country you know) then I bought an 8KW generator this spring so I keep them around to catch the falling dust.
Just be grateful you can't see my other wall to wall book case. [6]

Remember going to Grandpa's house and sitting on the phone book so you could eat at the big table?
My little kids use theology books to reach things they are too short for. They just pull them off the shelf and stack them.

But the Meet & Greet is overtaking...
I'm quite certain that in the time I needed to take a screen capture with the Jing tool (which provides for texts & boxes, other than my prior Win7-built in Snipping Tool) and write this post, the number again climbed up...

Yeah, I started a thread about this. Can't figure out where/what they could hide in the Forums. I figure it must be somewhere in the 'Forum Week' Forum, but can't find anything...
