Will I have to connect to the Internet?

I have upgraded from Gold Logos 3 to Platinum Logos 4 and should be receiving the dvd in the mail in a few days. Will the dvd have everything I need or will I still have to connect to the internet?

You will still need to connect to the internet. The version of L4 on the DVD has already been superseded. And rebuilt resources are still being released from time to time.
You can tell L4 not to connect in Tools>Settings, but I wouldn't recommend it, as there were a few minor issues with the release that went to DVD. But you can, and it should run fairly well for you.

Strictly speaking, you don't need to connect to the Internet; but, to echo Rich, we strongly recommend it. Right now, the following updates have already been published (since the DVD was created):
- Fixed crash opening the Missionaries article in 131 Christians Everyone Should Know
- Fixed a crash clicking particular cells in reverse interlinears
- Fixed crash playing pronunciations
- Fixed bugs in the default ordering of preferred Bibles
- Fixed bug showing glossary on hover in OpenText.org clause visualization
- Fixed bug with sync (not a problem if you don't connect to the Internet, of course...)
- and a few other minor fixes
