What would you think about an instant messenger feature for Logos that allowed users (like my son) to drop me a note and ask me what I thought about a particular verse he was studying, from his separate, legally licensed copy of Logos?

There could be alot of other uses for this  :)

Have you considered using a standalone instant messaging tool that not only allows you to communicate with Logos users, but also Bibleworks users and even Accordance users? And for a bonus, they also throw in the ability to communicate with non-Bible software users! [;)]

(FWIW, Logos has said they are adding collaborative and filesharing features.  But I'm not sure your suggestion adds anything over what can currently be done with a separate IM client. Care to expand?)

Personally I'd rather see Logos development effort placed in features more directly associated with Bible study.  More than likely your son and you both have cell phones and your desired feature might better be accomplished that way.

My concern grows when I see your comment about the potential for your suggestion to morph into something more extravagant.

Frankly, I'm surprised that he would claim to have a son.  My feeling is that he is too young to have any children.
