Manual Clippings?

Is there a way to manually add clippings from "dead tree" sources? I find the clipping function extremely useful, but Logos cannot be my central storage place for quotations if it is limited to quotations from logos resources. I should be able to add a new clipping complete with the quotation and (manually entered) citation.

(If there is NOT a way to do this then can an admin please move this post to the suggestions forum?)

Built in capability? No. However you can edit the title and the text of a clipping so there is a cheezy workaround. Find a resource you know you will never add a clipping from. Any time you want to add a manual clipping, go to this resource and add a clipping. Select all the text in the quotation and replace it with the quote from the resource you want. Change the clipping title to something that is useful for you, e.g. the chapter name. Add the citation manually to the notes sections. you can also give it a "manual clipping" tag. Now whenever you see a clipping from that resource you will know it was a manual clipping.

Also, as of right now you can make a clipping from a PBB. That means once it goes out of beta you may be able to create a PBB of the quote, clip the quote, and then delete the PBB so it doesn't clutter things up. I say may because until PBB is out of beta there are no guarantees of what features will be available.
