PBB tags to other resources

Has anyone been able to create a link from a PBB to another Logos resource? The old PBB format example given by Mark Barnes works: [[Rome|link.pos=LLS-AOL%3A3154.0.0|ref=topic%2Btopics.Rome|res=LLS%3A14.0.10]], but I have not been able to duplicate this with another resource. It seems this used a "Copy PBB link to Clipboard" option which is no longer available. Any help would be appreciated.

It would seem to be a natural addition to the URL/HTML/WIKI/RL copy formats.

Thanks for your reference. I did find a way to get the location. If I can open the book I want to link to in Libronix 3 I can use "Copy SermonFile link to Clipboard" and this link will then work in Logos 4. I have the old Sermon File add-in.

Whilst we're on this it would be really useful to be able to link easily (especially thinking about the location) to books we don't own, but do exist in Logos. Books that I own in paper, but haven't bought in Logos would be an example of when this would be useful, this would help if I ever bought them in Logos and if PBB's can eventually be shared.

Is there any difference between the method that Mark's workaround above other than having to use the right click menu in one and not having to in the other?

We will be changing the PBB spec/parser to deprecate #2 (though it will still be supported for old source files) and support [[see Moses|logosres:nbd;...]] instead. Once this is done, there will be no difference between the two links. You could use the first method if you're creating the files manually (because then you can click the link in the Word document to test it) or the second method if you found it easier or were generating the document from some other file format.

As far as I know, it already does, if by "datatype link" you mean a logosref: URL. Create a hyperlink in Word to logosref:Bible.Gen1.1 to test this out. (The [[link|logosref:...]] syntax is not implemented yet.)

Correction: the preferred new syntax will use wiki.logos.com-style links, e.g., [[see Moses >> logosres:hbd;hw=Moses]] (in order to avoid having different syntax for personal books, reading lists, etc.).

This doesn't work currently - or at least it only works partially. It creates the link successfully, but somehow the link isn't properly recognised, so you don't get any right-click options, for example. Neither can you do reference searching.

Thanks Bradley. Hopefully you're aware that you get the opposite problem when using the inline syntax method. That creates both a resource link and a reference link, instead of just a reference link:
