Is getting close to the 80% mark, might be worth a look for anyone who hasn't placed a bid for it.

I've been "in" since March! It's a great deal!

In since Nov 4! I hope it moves to development, it would be a great addition to our libraries and a very good price!

I've been in for quite some time, but out of curiosity, was this the predecessor to the Expositor's Bible Commentary? Or are they unrelated?

I'm in at $25, this is (another) one of the products in CP where Logos seem to have an inflated view of the value of the product.

Unrelated. More technical issues are dealt with in the modern EBC by Zondervan.

In at $75 since February 14, 2011 - hoping to get it at $40 if current trends continue.

The main draw back is that it appears it won't be available on mobile device like iphone. I wonder why that is? It's hardly a copyright issue on a work dated 1903!

I wouldn't worry about it I noticed several items listed not being iphone compatible, until production it will not be labeled compatible. Some contracts may not allow for it but generally everything Logos makes from now on will be mobile compatible. Part of it I believe is after it is release to the public it takes a week or so for the mobile portion to be released to the web. I know several items early on labeled iOS compatible took a few weeks to be so. So I think it's a policy now to not list it as compatible till it is out. I do not own Interpretation but I did ask about it, and was told while not reflected on the website at the time it would most assuredly be iOS compatible shortly after release.

There is an overlap of authors with the Cambridge Bible (now in pre-pub), though i.e. Smith, Lumby, Harper, Skinner, Farrar, Plummer, Moule, Findlay. This has contributions published between 1882 & 1922 whilst Expositor's is dated 1903. Expositor's is more compact than the 57 volume Cambridge eg Genesis to Ruth is 863 pages vs. 2976, so it would need to come in for much less than $40. I'll give it a bid and see what happens!

The picture being shown is a modern publication. I am about to bid on a 25 volume set of the Expositors Bible acually published in 1903. what do you think the dollar value is for collectors? I plan to keep it but am interested in knowing what some one might pay for it.

I honestly have no idea but I do know more information is needed to determine that... If it was a first edition or signed by the authors (one would expect the general editor not every contributor which would be very cool but totally unrealistic) it might be worth thousands... the condition is important are all the bindings tight, is there any annotations or other marks in the books are the clean? Knowing all of these things you might figure out what they are worth. AS A COLLECTOR they are worth whatever you wish to pay for them. One person may feel foolish paying $100 others may think it a bargain at $2500.

Yep ... everything's relative to demand. Just try to find an original Emma Smith hymnal. Unbelievable.

This closes November 4, 2011. Surely we can get more bids to lower to $30.. it's currently at $40. Great deal if it peaks anyone's curiosity. Don't wait till it reaches prepub and the price is jacked. It is currently at great deal right now, but we can always hope for better.

Well, I went ahead and bid, mainly because of '1903'.
I'm betting I'll find an overlap with Encyclopedia Biblica authorship, which Logos doesn't have.

*Bump*
It went over the top at $40 and has now come down to $35. Let's try and save ourselves another $5 and get it down to $30. Do we have enough time???

*Bump (again)*
Any takers at $30?

What happened to this offering? It is no longer on the CP page. I thought we had until noon Friday PST. My bid was still at $30.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I found it, but it appears that the "Progress" sort button is not working.

Dean ... switched yours to $30?
If I'm understanding you correctly, and you were at $35 or higher, then nothing actually happened, other than simply risk missing out if you forget.
The economical calculation remained the same (you were already included in the $30 calculation).
The calculation only improves for existing bidders, if someone below $30 moves up to $30 or higher.
Or new bidders join the pot.
