Nook?
I'm considering purchasing a nook. I know that I can view biblica.com with it but are there any plans to develop a logos app for the nook store?

If B&N doesn't carry the app,then buy a fast microSDHC and put one of the real android mods on that; you can then boot into android & access the real app store.

The Nook instructions won't work for a Sony; I took a look around the web, and as of Oct 2011 it was possible to root the Sony, but Google Apps (Marketplace) weren't available for it...unless that has changed, it wouldn't be easy to have the Logos app on it. Perhaps after rooting you could download the app directly from the Logos-provided link; I had to do that when the L4Android Beta first launched. However, not having a Sony e-Reader, I've not directly attempted any of this.
Perhaps someone else on the forums has first-hand knowledge w/Sony...

I have a Nook color and I rooted it. I never use it, it is horrible. Most apps crash so often it is virtually worthless. I would spend the money on an iPad.

Sorry to hear about the issue you encountered.
This can be caused by two different things:
1. The most likely is the specific MicroSDHC card used. The Color Nook is extremely sensitive to small block read times. The Class 4 8 GB card made by Sandisk (if I recall correctly) has best-in-class small block read speed. I initially bought an expensive class 10 card thinking that would be "better"--it was far worse, and things crashed constantly. The "class" of the card is based on large block read/write--which is irrelevant to the root's achilles heel. Every once in a while I now get messages to either Force Close or Wait an application--but "wait"ing usually works; I think it is related to WiFi response in my case.
2. There are two different types of root image: the "last stable" or the "daily mod." I tried running daily mods, but had trouble and went back to running the "stable" mods. Once you have rooted successfully, it is possible to "upgrade" the root image without overwriting your data/apps--I've done that once to move from one stable build to the next one released.
This said, I'm hoping for an ICS root image release for the Color Nook!

Looking at the Amazon Kindle Storefront, it appears that the Kindle can run Logos Bible Software for Android without rooting it.

Thanks for the information but I am going to stick with my iPad. Anyone want to buy a Nook Color? I will include a $40 case with it.

As the mobile app version of Logos gets more advanced, I think the bigger real estate of the iPad will really help.
If the tech media are right and the tablets for later this year begin to have very high def screens, I think that the mobile versions will really become attractive--especially once highlighting/notes are rolled out.
