suggestion: need a way to delete the entire search string

after each search of the library, I have to use backspace to delete each letter of the search string. I hope there would be a delete all button in the search box.

This isn't the exact thing that you're looking for but if you use the Swiftkey keyboard, a "swipe left" deletes whole words at a time.
