In the comparison charts, numerous resources which begin with the definite article have been alphabetised under "T". Three times I have gone looking for resource names and not been able to find them.
Damian -
The only one I have in my collection is "The Temple." I also could not find it by typing "The." but it was there under "Temple." have you tried it that way?
Jerry
Jerry,
Obviously I'm not being clear enough
The comparison charts on the Logos.com website list these titles out of order.
"The Cosmopolitan World of Jesus" should be under "C" not "T"; "The Dead Sea Scrolls" under "D" not "T" and so on.
This is the standard for Book Titles, the definite article is ignored.
I was looking through the charts trying to find out if resources were included and could not find them in the "right" place because they have been placed as titles which begin with "T".
imho, it's not only wrong, it's sort of embarrassing for a website dealing with books (even the electronic kind).
Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you saw them on the chart but could not find them in your library.
I see what you are saying; the way Logos has them listed is not consistent, and I agree with you.
Damian,
We're aware of this issue and caught it just prior to launch. It was during the triage time where only critical issues were getting attention and we simply had to let this one slide. That said, this is on our to-do list to correct. Until then, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Also, a good option might be using the Ctrl+F option in your browser and typing in the book name. That should speed up searching for specific titles.

Glad you know. Just bringing it to your attention. Definitely no need for apologies.
Don't worry, I ctrl+F'ed each time and then subsequently forgot that items were misplaced (thus accounting for the fact that it happened to me three times).

Somehow this fluke has made it into my Version 3 "Account Summary"! I am almost positive the list used to be populated according to standard alphabetizing practices. (The Discipleship Journal filed under "D" not "T" or NICOT filed under "N" instead of "T") While trying to comfirm an activation code for NICOT/NT it's position in my "Account Summary" has moved to the "T"s. Strange~~~~~~~~
GOOD NEWS, tho'- My Logos 4 instalation did self-update (upon re-starting the program) and added a bunch more resources. I do have my NICOT/NICNT titles. They are just filed a little kooky. I can't find them by typing "New International..." I have to type "The New International Commentary" Then, when it displays the hits it shows NICOT in parentheses but nowhere has the whole name spelled out. I'm just glad I know where it is and how to get to it.
Matthew,
The series name is nowhere in the titles. You are right. But, you can always search on abbreviated titles. This is what I do. I have also edited many abbreviated titles. For example, for Anchor Bible Dictionary, I put ABD. Now a Library or Command bar search automatically brings up that volume. I type "WBC Mark" in the command bar and the two volumes on Mark from this series are there for the chosing.
Give them a break, Damian. They've been rushed through an impossible deadline, so a dumb alphabetic sort can be expected. Any missing resources will be restored from the cloud[:)].
EDIT:
I wrote that before seeing the Logos response!

Dave,
I was simply bringing it to their attention. How is this wrong? They can fix it in a month for all I care....

Cool! I just love all this power I've been given. If I had known they were going to display the little books in the library & info window I could have saved many hours of duplicating that work in OneNote. I created all these little notebooks because I found the summaries so good for reference. I'm a visual person so I love the little pics everywhere. (off-topic: that reminds me of Bible People, Bible Things, Bible Places = Marvelously done.)
I just didn't find the NICOT/NICNT where I thought it should be. When you lose something valuable you tend to panic until it is found.
