Problems with highlighting

The highlighting I did yesterday is no longer there.  The highlighting I'm trying to do using my own palette and mark up filters keeps getting lost.  The words are there (in the markup filter)  but not the formatting I created to mark them.  Is this an error or am I doing something wrong?

To mark up the filter, I search for the word I want to mark in the Bible, then go to the markup visual filter and format the word then go back to the Bible search again.

I'm using Logos 4 and a PC with windows 7.

It sounds like the issue may be one of two things (though, if I'm off-base, posting some screenshots of what you are doing would be helpful.)

First, if you are creating a Visual Filter, those markups can be turned off/on using the drop down to the right of the active reference box.

You will want to make sure the box next to the filter you wish to see is checked.

The other option that I can think of is that when you have a Search panel open, the results of your search will be highlighted in your resources in an orange-ish color.  These highlights will disappear when the Search panel is closed.

I hope one of those two things helps you.  [:)]  If not, like I mentioned previously, if you could post some screenshots of how you are constructing your highlights, that should point me in the right direction to help you further.
