On about 10 books it opened to a random page. Maybe open to the Chapter page.
It doesn't open to a random page...it opens to the last page you opened the book to. If you haven't opened a resource before, it will open to the first page of the resource, usually the title page.
I've noticed the same thing--some books opening to a random page. I just opened "I Never Knew That Was in the Bible!" for the first time, and it opened to page 350. And it's happened on several others.
A couple of further examples:
"4000 Questions and Answers on the Bible" opened for the first time took me to p. 159. "The Contemplative Pastor" opened to p. 33.

Have you looked at these resources on your computer?
The Android app should open them to the last page you were using in your main Logos4 package.
