Logos 3 Plarinum?

I paid for and downloaded the upgrade from my Logos 3 Gold to Logos 4 Platinum. Intallation has finally completed and everything is now working in Logos 4.
However, my understanding is that I should be able to continue using Logos 3. I can open the program ok, but I can not find any way to get the Platimum resources into Logos 3. I clicked on the upgrade and download icon that installed the licenses in Logos 3, but it does not offer to download any new resources.

Synchronize your licences in Logos 3. That should do it.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

I just ran Account Summary in Logos 3 and it shows my license for Platinum LE and lists the resources, but they are not present in Logos 3.

Some resources can be brought over from the Logos4 folder. Others you will need to download from the ftp site (until Logos devises a better way to deal with this frequent question)

I did do a syncronize licenses (again) and then restarted Logos 3. Still does not have the Platimum resources and doing an update resources or program update does not offer to download any resources.

This is the problem with Logos3 which Logos4 is trying to solve. It cannot automatically download resources for you. It never has and I'm sure it never will. All the current update process does is check the time stamps of your files against those on the ftp site. If you don't have the files on your computer, there's nothing to compare so nothing will download.
You will need to use an ftp program to retrieve the files you want.

I a more than willing to manually download the files from the ftp site if only there was a simple and easy way to generate a list of the files I need to manually upgrade logos 3 from the Gold resources to the Platimum resources. I know of no way to generate such a list of files to download.

John,
I'm not sure if it will be possible to get those resources into Logos 3. Call Logos support for a definitive answer.
There have been a few changes made to the resources themselves to get them to work better in Logos 4. Those changes may make the resources incompatible with Logos 3. You can continue to use Logos 3 but I have not seen an official word if that means you can also add new resources to Logos 3.
Again, contact Logos support via phone or email.

Nor do I John.
Maybe you need to request a v3.0 media only disk.

Many resources' pages have links to download the LDLS 3 files. It would be time consuming to look everything up and download it... but it would probably work.

We're still working on producing all the Platinum resources in the LBXLLS format that LDLS3 can use. When this is done, they will be uploaded to the FTP server and made available through a Resource Update Script for LDLS3.

Thanks, Bradley. I'm dabbling in Logos 4, but I have to prepare Sunday School lessons over the next few weeks, and for now, my brain is still functioning better in Logos 3 and there are still some things Logos 4 doesn't do well (topic browsing and PBB's). You guys are making great progress, and I'm looking forward to Logos 4's continued improvement, and my continued learning curve in using what is there.
Let us know via logos blog or posts here when the LDLS 3 script is ready
