Hi,

I am getting a "could not create resource display" "error?" when opening up any reference on my HTC Thunderbolt.
The program worked fine for a few minutes last night but is not opening any resource as of right now.  Thanks.

I am getting this same error.

I downloaded the Crossways ESV Study Bible Notes and set my phone to "Airplane" mode to attempt reading the book offline and got the "Could not create a resource display"

When the phone is in normal 3G the book displays fine.

    Phone: DroidX, OS Ver 2.3.3
    App installed on SD Card

Bump...I have to "Remove" the downloaded ESV Study Bible Notes book before it will display without the "Could not create a resource display" error.

    Hi,

I also get this problem.  I have a samsung galaxy tablet.

When I start up I can read the ASV.  When online, I can read all resources.  After I download a resource for offline, I can no longer read that version, and just keep getting the error 'could not create resource display'.  Now, I can only read the ASV and any versions I haven't yet tried to download.

Similar problem on my DroidX. Downloaded resources worked fine for a few weeks. Sunday, while in a place where there is no 3G my downloaded books gave me the "Could not create a resource display." The problem continued for several hours, even though I was in a 3G network. Tried deleting but problem persisted. About 5 hours later I checked BDAG and it came right up. Checked the others and they too worked properly.

Another user is experiencing a similar problem as reported here - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/35730/268522.aspx#268522

Anyone any thoughts on what is happening here?

When reading offline books some cached user/book license info is needed to verify access. If you are having trouble reading an offline book (other than the ASV) then one possibility might be related to the offline license info. Here's a worth while test to confirm this.

    1. Open the Library Activity
    2. Press your menu button
    3. In the context menu, press the Update option.

This will immediately update the offline license info along with any other library updates. Some people are reporting that it happens to work several hours later, that could possibly be explained by the library update having downloaded the updated license info.

Just want to reiterate that this is just a thought as to what might be happening. If we can confirm the source of the problem we can unsure that this inconvenience does not occur.

    Thanks for all your help.
