Works of Oliver B. Greene

Dr. Oliver B. Greene was an Independent Baptist evangelist. He did tent revivals and had a radio ministry called "The Gospel Hour." He wrote over 100 books including commentaries, sermons and Bible studies. If you like J. Vernon McGee's Thru the Bible or The Pacific Garden Mission radio broadcasts, you will like Oliver Greene.
This would be another good resource to have in Logos. I just got the Works of Harry Ironside from Logos and this would be nice to have alongside it. Anybody agree?

I agree 100% and even sent an email to suggestions. I would like to see Oliver B Green's books come out in Logos. I have enjoyed the works of Harry ironside since it has come out.
Another IFB I would love to see getting a contract on Logos is David Cloud. He has a very good apologetic type ministry. He has a DVD with some books and other out of print books that he can legeally sale. I think that would be a good place to start. He is really the only IFB author I evr really read. Oliver Green would be a welcome addition.

Is there a public source for Greene's PDFs or is it a private collection? I've got everything in hardback but wish I could search it.
Oh how I wish this were in Logos!

I'd settle for a PDF collection until Logos publishes one. Is there any chance Mark, others & I can get it?
Is it commercially available?

What a resource it would be! I spiritually grew up listening to him on the radio, after his death of course, and I can hear him preaching right now. Sometimes I'll drive by a particular place in the road and one of his sermons will come to mind I was listening to when I was in that same spot 20 years ago.
He truly was a fantastic preacher. Really enjoyed his testimony called "The Black Sheep."

Bill,
I am still searching for a freely available source. I have found some not-so-free sources that purportedly have around 27 commentaries by Dr. Greene. The problem is they want $30 to $40 in membership fees to download the supposedly "FREE" and "legal" set They also offered extreme filth and pirated works on the same page. IF the black market site is really in possession of the set and willing to deliver them after getting your money (Those are two big "IF"s), it still may be they are being distributed illegally because the profit they are making puts it outside of any application of the fair use doctrine. WARNING: If you do deal with these types of web sites, you run a great risk of suffering harm to your computer, bank account and general peace of mind. It's best not to go there.
Now if a fellow scans his own hard copy set into his computer for his own use, it may be perfectly legal. I don't know, or I would be scanning my own set of Greene's works. I will ask my blind neighbor. He scans printed matter and his computer reads it aloud to him. (He is our church pianist and a Professor at a Bible college.)
I just checked The Gospel Hour web site and there is no mention of
digital versions of the books & commentaries. It would be cool for a
Logos Rep. to approach them with a request to publish them. Meanwhile, I will keep searching for clean copies and legal sources. We may have to wait several more decades. [:(]Logos 7 Collectors Edition

I was wondering if you could send me those on PDF format. I would love to have them. Of course, if this is a violation of copy right laws or something, I understand. I wouldn't want to break the law to get Bible commentaries. That would be crossing the line for sure.

A quick note to say that I just pulled out Dr. Greene's commentary on Revelation and wondered if it might be in a software format. Anyway, I googled him and came across this forum and just wanted to say for the record that I would purchase it in a heart beat!!! What do we have to do to get the attention of the Logos folks? I have purchased thousands of dollars of software from them over the past 15 years, mostly stuff I rarely use. His writings are so full of scripture and practical insight that I would love to see them make it available! He's very similar to J. Vernon McGee. Just sayin!

Hello Mandrews,
Is it possible for you to share Oliver green's PDF's. I have all of his hardback books in my library, but I don't have the ability to convert them into PDF's. I would love all of them, but I particularly would like his Daniel Commentary. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I've just read a post dated Sep 17, 2009 where you mention that you have pdf copies of Oliver E Greene's Commentaries. I have most of these as books but now wished to change to pdf copies. I have found Galatians, Ephesians and Revelation on the web but can't seem to get the rest.
Can you tell me where I can obtain these please?
Thanks for your help.

Is it possible for you to share those with me? I have all of his books and commentaries, I just want to avoid doing so much typing entering his notes into my Logos software.
