Windows Slate Poor Performance - Acer W500

Hello All!

Just installed L4 on my Acer Iconia W500 and the performance is unfortunately unbearable. I'm a patient guy and there's just too much lag. Any tips on performance optimization? I've turned off "everything" under Tools.

I really only want about 2-3 books for my slate. I can use the other 460+ resources on my beasty quad core laptop. Would it help if I "Hid" all other resources?

Or am I just locked out of this platform?

Mike if you just installed it then you will need to wait for everything to happen on the first install such as the index. It can take hours but is well worth the wait. If after the initial index then I recommend logging and putting your logs on here for users to investigate your issues.

No, it will only help with full indexing. It can be done but the installation must be offline. If you remain online it will also hide the resources on the laptop.

The Iconia may be underpowered and if the interface is a "touch" one then that will introduce lag as W7 is not designed for touch screens. What are the specs?
