Logos and iPhone Data Plan

Good evening/morning.

I upgraded to an iPhone 3G S late yesterday afternoon and have a 200 MB/month data plan. I would like to use the Logos app on the run, but my fear is that I will eat my data plan alive just by looking at it. As such, I just have a couple questions.

1) Can the app be used offline?

2) If the answer to #1 is yes, are there any features I should avoid using while under a 3G/4G network? If so, which features?

Thanks in advance for all help given. May God bless you all.

Hi Bryan - and welcome to the forums

Yes the app can be used offline - but only to access resources which have been downloaded to the phone.

Offline use has limitations - while it can carry out basic functions, more sophisticated ones are not possible. Tools such as the Passage Guide and Bible Word Study are only available online.

    Hope this helps

Don't forget that wherever you can hitch into a WiFi hotspot your data plan will not be used.

You might wish to avoid using Logos during wilderness periods - or then again it might be worth shelling out for more bandwidth during wilderness periods.

If you see what I mean.
