You've gotta be kidding me.
As I said over in the "crash" section, I just got my home tower back and am trying to get things running again. Have to get my Bible software up so I can at least work.
OK, I'm at L4SR3 (according to the Help | About screen).
Systray icon says it's indexing my L4 application
Unfortuately, the counter seems to be going the wrong direction. Right after installation of L4, it said indexing had 241 hours to go. Come on, that's rediculous: 10 days? That can't be.
Then I checked again and it was up to 260 plus hours. And, right now it's telling me 279 hours (well that's better than the 291 it said when I started this message).
I sincerely hope, for the sake of the new user (you know, the non-tech types that this is supposed to appeal to) that telling them that they can download and install today, and then sometime in the next fortnight have a fully operational system (that is assuming there are no updates in the mean time, requiring more indexing).
Now, on the flip side, I will concede that this is the first time the indexer has had a chance to work on this system, and I do own in excess of 3k resources. But, this is a 3.2 GHz P4 (hyperthreading) running WinXP/Pro SP3, with 4gb RAM and I'm hoping that it really won't take 10 days to index my system.
