I have been waiting for an interest to mount up regarding the Dictionary of the Targumim, the Talmud Babli and Yerushalmi, and the Midrashic Literature (2 vols.). I have been waiting for almost two years now, but we seem to be stuck half way through in pre-pub. I own a hard copy of this excellent Lexicon and hope people in the Hebrew forum may be interested in joining me to move up the interest in this fantastic Lexicon.
Gregorio ... everyone seems to agree with you (almost) ... I can't believe this sits at 50%.
I hope your note can motivate some more people to sign up!
I notice the whole area of the Targums need some serious resources in Logos, now that we have the Talmuds.
And Jastrow is great too.

Thanks DMB and Eric. By the way, any ideas on how we can promote this so we get moving on this project?
Well, there's one more order in now [;)]
Yeah, I've been waiting for this for years. The dead tree version is not easy to read, the the scanned pdfs only make the fuzzy text bigger, not clearer. 2 years of Aramaic in grad school... woulda been nice.
I'd suspect Lynden is probably correct; the population of Jastrow lovers might be considerably limited versus the cost to produce with extensive cross-references.
I try to 'push' some of the CP resources, several of which I don't really want, if only to help others that do. I think missing out on some of the CP offerings is a major error, where many of the LOGOS alternatives are really not affordable.
But, the 'contra' argument can be seen in a Coptic collection and Syriac/Aramaic collection that are both under contract. So, who knows??
I appreciate you trying to get it moving, though.
Thanks, Mebin. An DMB, what does CP stand for? Best, Gregorio
My error! CP stands for 'Community Pricing' but our discussion is on 'Pre-pub'. My mistake.
