Back after 9 months.

Hi Forum Friends,

I have been away for about 9 months now. My life was turned upside for months. I lost a best friend, the church I pastored for 16 years, my reputation, and almost lost my family. At any rate, I have been an avid Logos user for many years, and was proud to be a part of the beta test for 4. I am writing to ask a simple question:

WHAT HAVE I MISSED WHILE I HAVE BEEN GONE? Are there any new features? Anything on the horizon?

Excited to be pastoring again, and excited to become re-acquainted with the forums and all of you.

It is good to have you back. When I have time I'll watch the whole testimony you shared.

In aswer to your question, perhaps the best way to discover what's 'new' is to check the release notes. Frankly it is hard to remember when new features were added, but the release notes can help you locate where you left off and get you up to speed.

Welcome back Rodney. Sorry to hear of your loss, I trust that God will lead you in the path that he would have you to go.

Update your software to the latest version, look at some of the new videos, and check out the wiki. We are beta testing PBB. Not sure as to where you left the software, or what has changed since you left, as I usually work with the Beta, so I would have to compare to see what the stable is like.

Just listened to your testimony of what God did for you and your family (for those who just want to hear the testimony: starts at about 28min. and goes for about 30 minutes).

Wonderful story! God is so good, isn't He! It never ceases to amaze me what God can do with (seemingly) hopeless cases. What a great God we have! Wow!

I have to object to the image of a roller coaster ride though. A roller coaster always ends up at the same place it starts. You guys, ended up at a spiritually better place.

As for Logos, there are some new things, you've missed some threads I wish I had missed, but that's life in the forums. Nothing nearly as interesting or uplifting as what you've gone through.

Rodney, just finished listening to the sermon by the Pastor, it was a real blessing. Very practical and challenging to allow Jesus to make changes in our life.

Hi Rodney,

I just watched your testimony, and I was moved. I appreciate your humility, Rodney remember God's Grace takes over, when we (Christians) fall down. Thank God, Remember the power of Christ is in your being, the doing comes from our being, and when Christ is in our being, our doing will be led by Him!

Rodney, thanks for sharing--while much has happened in the Logos world, it pales in comparison with what you've experienced. May God be glorified.

P.S. I see that there is a Wallbuilders video on the site you linked to; after finishing your testimony/the sermon now I'm starting the David Barton presentation--perhaps I'll learn more about the package Logos offers.

Welcome back! PBB (Now Personal Books (PB)) are now in beta and the outlook looks AWESOME!

I'm not sure what was in and what was out 9 months ago. New features have been pretty quiet in the way of new features.

At any rate it sounds like you've had a healthy dose of the grace of God in the last 9 months so I would say whatever you missed here can't compare to what you've gained. Glad to have you back in the pastorate.

I'm doing something wrong.

I get the Woodstock Church site.

It has four different sets of messages to choose from and each set has about 12 choices.

Which of trhe 48 messages am I looking for?

If it doesn't open the "Play" pane to it in your browser, look for the 26 June/Burden Bearers/Gal 6-focused video...and scroll past the beginning of the service to the start of the testimony.
