Android Tablets without Market Place
As you may or may not be aware, a number of cheaper Android tablets DO NOT have access to the official Android Market. Is there an alternative to downloading the Logos App?

Try visiting http://downloads.logos.com/Android/Logos/beta/index.html and download the .apk file to your desktop.
Then, email the installation package to your tablet and install it from there.

Thanks for the reply. Will we be able to get the final apk like this also? I hope so because it will be a good idea because a lot of Android tablets do not have access to the official market.

Bought tablet today, Beta 1.3 works great! Anyway to get it upgraded to the latest Beta without the market?

You might google your Tablet and find a way to add Marketplace. I've noticed in looking at Tablets to buy, that people report in their opinions that they found info on the Web and was able to add Marketplace to their Tablet. Which Tablet did you get and how do you like it?

Q: What are the system requirements?
Any Android 2.1 or newer device should work. The app requires about 20MB free space on the device. An SD card must be present; note that some devices, e.g. Nexus S, have the equivalent of an SD card built in.

I bought the 7 inch sylvania mini tablet at Big Lots for $99! It has Android 2.2 and it is really nice. Is the Ardroid app only going to have book access, I don't see any of the features on my iphone.

Heads up guys, beware of the Sylvania 7 inch tablet from Big Lots. I am returning the second tomorrow and will not be getting another one. 1st one froze and the 2nd one stop finding wifi network.

You will eventually have access to all features on the Android app that are currently available for iOS.

I'm new to Android and unfortunately have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note here in China which doesn't have Marketplace. Would be most grateful if you could give me more details about how to add Marketplace to this device

Hi David,
Google / China - might be why it doesn't have Android Market. Difficult to do anything if not preinstalled. Speak to the dealer or distributor.
Do you have Amazon store as Logos app can be downloaded from there?
