Crash immediately after startup

Description
When I startup Logos 4 on my Windows XP, the home page ribbon appears normally, but as the circular timer begins to run on the home page itself, after a short while (abt 5secs), the Windows Crash Windows appear.

Steps to reproduce

Load logos 4

Actual Result

see above description

Expected Result
Expected the normal home page news items to appear. (The last change I did was to set "The Message" as my default preferred bible).

System Specs
Laptop | Windows XP SP3 | Intel (1.6Ghz) dual core | 2GB RAM | AVG 9 – up to date

Please enable logging by carefully following all the instructions in the link below:

Then run Logos and see if you can repeat the issue that caused the crash. Make sure to post all the log and txt files here for review. Here are the Wiki instructions for how to upload logs.

If you continue to have this problem then try deleting the folder \Logos4\Data\<random name>\HomePage & start L4. Otherwise the only way is to start with a blank layout and avoid the Home Page.

Hi Richard and Dave,

Thanks for all your help!!! Dave's advice helped, and after deleting the random folder under the Homepage folder, L4 started up sweetly.
