Passage guide offline?
I can't seem to use passage guide when I'm offline. I mainly plan to use logos on my android when I'm out away from home where I don't have access to the intranet. I've downloaded the majority of my library to the SD card. It would be nice if there was a way to still use the passage guide and have it just search the books I've downloaded. Is there a way to do this? or is there any plans to be to do this later?
Thanks,

It appears that all the search function now requires one to be online. As you mentioned, I also hope that it can be made offline for a few reasons:
1. Many of us do not have 3G on our android phones - particularly in rural areas where we serve as missionaries. And in rural areas, we don't have wifi hotspots either [:(].
2. The only place I can access via wifi is my home (my own wireless router) - which basically defeats the purpose since I would then be using my PC for full functionality of Logos.
However, it's definitely a step ahead with passage guide etc built in. Looking forward to seeing it grow.

Thank you for your input! Yes, we recognize that requiring the user to be online in order to search is certainly a limitation for many users.
In order to produce guides the Logos engine must access an index, which is a database connecting your resources with pertinent information. Currently, this index lives on the server (for the mobile apps) and is searched there.
To produce guides when offline the app would have to index your library, which is (as any Logos desktop user can tell you) an extremely resources-intensive process. This just is not feasible at this time.
Hopefully we can address this issue in a future update, but for now guides will not be available when offline.
