Android beta documentation?

I installed the beta Logos Bible Software (Beta) on my Toshiba THRiVE tablet and it is kind of a gee whiz, thats nice, now what experience. I realize that it is beta, but is there any kind documentation on how to use it? It does not seem very user friendly, which has been a complaint against Logos since Libronix.

Here are some specific questions:

1) Is there any way to customize the library list that shows on the device? There are many of the books that I have no interest in and will never use.

2) What is the purpose of the sign in? Is there an online list of books that are subscribed to and if so, where do I access that at?

3) How do I import my current Logos Library (2.0 level 3)? (I have asked a related question in a seperate post.)

Hello Mike,

before i attempt to answer your questions, I just want to let you know that I'm just a user like you...not a Logos employee....so....I'll do my best.

At this time, the library isn't customizable; you can, however, type in the line and it will sort by what's in the line...such as "esv" or whatever...that's one way to narrow it down.

The sign in connects you with your Logos library...at first...the resources are all "in the cloud" and while you can download many of them and use them "offline", for the most part...they are offline.

As far as your L2 library goes...I believe that you must update to L3 (free) and then sync your licenses, and then L4 will automatically "see" your library. I'm not real sure on this point...I've never used L2...so I hope someone else can chime in with some info.

Thanks for the response. I kinda of figured some of that out by reading the wifi for ver 3. It looks like they have an entirely different registration scheme which ties your purchased/licensed books to a username and/or email address. Back when I installed Logos 1.6 then upgraded to 2.0, I didn't even have an email address. So I think it is "do-able" to upgrade to 3, create an account and activate or register or what ever, then the Android app should see my library. Probably would try from a diffent workstation, though, because I don't want to mess up the working 2.0 version.

As a side note, I do telephone tech support for a software package and if one of my customer called in for support of a 10+ year old version, I wouldn't be able to get them off the phone fast enough so I do understand that perspective.

Yes, that information Robert gave you was correct. I would recommend that you give Customer Service a call about getting your Logos 2.0 licenses updated to the newer versions.

They'll be able to walk you through that process and get everything working for you going forward. The nice side-effect of this is that your licenses will be permanently attached to your Logos.com account, and therefore are always recoverable.

Nothing we do to update your licenses will "mess up" your Logos 2.0 installation so call without fear!
