I used to be able to copy from a resource and it would add, when I pasted, what resource I was citing from. Now it does not work
What length of text are you copying? It intentionally does not provide the citation for very short texts.
What resource are you trying to copy?
What version of the software are you using?
MJ's response was exactly the symptom I was experiencing. If you want the author/resource/publisher info, just copy a paragraph or two vs. a sentence and you'll get it when you paste... then simply remove the extraneous data you didn't need.
You also want to make sure you have "copy citation" set to yes in the program settings.
Ok here is an oddity I discovered. When I cut and paste into an Internet Forum using VBulliton the citation does not appear
When I paste it into notepad, it does
Oh and when I paste into Word it also does NOT show
Ok when I changed "keep source formatting" to "destination" the citation shows up...
Eh, ok I got it figured out. If I switch editor modes on the forum to see the markups, then paste, it includes the citation. Well live and learn. Thanks guys!
