Install Issues

I too can't get Logos 4, either stable or Release candidate to install and/or index on my new laptop: Toshiba AMD Vision Quad Core running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I now have Logos running in some form due to the work around methids in the Logos Wiki. I used Method 1.

I cannot however run Logos 4 without granted higher level privileges to the program via UAC and do not and have not ever had to do this on any other computer.

If I run Logos 4 without these privileges it crashes because it needs more access....

I understand it is the weekend which means Logos is normally closed, so hopefully Bob, Dan, Bradley, Melissa or someone can give me some insight on whether this problem is going to be fixed asap.

And before someone comes in with the they are working on it or we can't look for ETAs...

I have a Bible College Orientation coming up in which I need to know whether or not to have time slotted to push Logos 4... I will not push it if I cannot even get it to install on my own PC or if I have to use a workaround and run Logos on UAC permissions.

Also if this is not fixed are we back to Logos refunding purchases as I have a couple people I talked into buying Logos who are also due for a laptop upgrade and may not want to deal with this hassle.

Hi Frank,

It looks like you were able to get help this morning from Tech Support with the launching L4 issue. The Indexer crash, as the technician may have told you, is something that development is still looking into.

Tommy helped find the odd issue with needing to run on admin to avoid a crash. For some reason the LogosIndexer.exe was set to run as admin for some unknown reason....

I've been playing with some different settings and stopping different processes as well in an attempt to get a full index, thus far nothing has worked.
