Steve Runge's High definition commentary - download problems

Steve RUnge's High definition commentary on Philippians not only wouldn't download on to the Logos iPad app, but, when I accidentally opened it online it froze the app for some time.

Also have download problems with Lion Handbooks and various other series on iPad app.

I don't have the latest iPad running system and am not likely to be able to download it in the near future - half a gig would take 4 hours to download at church, even if the internet connection didn't cut out during that period! This is not Logos' fault, but explains why I need to cope without an iPad update for the foreseeable future....

I have just downloaded the High-Def Commentary (to check this) and it works fine here so I don't think it's anything to do with the resource - which I guess you had already concluded by noting problems with other downloads!

What version of the iPad app are you running?

Can't update in near future as explained. I have lots of Logos Books I can't download, even on faster ISP in Tirana. I thought that might be a problem with Logos.

But it';s not Logos' fault that I can't update iPad at the moment.

But maybe downloading problems are because I have an old iPad app?

Nicky - what version of the iPad app are you running?

One of the improvements noted in the release notes for 1.7.4 was "better performance of streaming books (fixed many crashes)" which seems relevant to what you are seeing

Misunderstanding. Logos app is 1.7.4, and these problems still occur with latest update.

My actual iPad software version is out of date, 4.3.5, and I can't download the 1/2 gig update with the internet connections we have here in town. May be able to do so next time I go to Tirana, but I don't plan to go there before September at the earliest as I don't cope well with the heat - here in Korca it's much cooler.- welcome spin off of global warming, which has cooled down our summers and warmed up our winters!
