What do the "stripes" in the scrollbars indicate

At times the scrollbars show little "stripes", seemingly related to "other content", although I haven't yet been able to work out the pattern. Do they show search results, or the location of cross-references from the currently visible page? Or something else more esoteric?

I have experienced this phenomenon myself off and on, but I have though it not a feature but, per my best guess, a result of not having enough video RAM (I only have 64MB of video RAM, lower than the stated requirement for 4.0). How much video RAM do you have?

The stripes are "history lines" they denote things like "history" or "search results" depending on their color...

hover your mouse over one and see....

As far as I can tell they show the boundaries of chapters or other section w/in the book. If you hover on them they display text like a keylink. They seem to be there to allow you to hop to different places in your current chapter with a click instead of blind scrolling.

This is only a guess. I haven't seen anything on this functionality from an official Logos document yet.

I have 256MB video RAM... they don't seem to be a video problem, since hovering over them shows popups. I just can't figure out the meaning behind the lines (yet).

if you enter "scrollbar" in the help file you get the defintion of what they are.
