Text scrolling
Just started using on my HTC but I cannot understand why you cannot scroll through the verses like every other prog. In other words by swiping from top to btm you progress through verses (as you browse the library, and passage guide) and left to right you change chapters.

The Android app does not have a feature like you are describing at this time, exactly, but we do have an easy way of selecting verses.
By tapping on the screen in Reading View (be sure not to accidentally tap a footnote or link) you will get the Resource Navigation ribbon. The top of this ribbon has the current reference (and a new one can be typed in), to the right of that you can select an exact book, chapter and verse to view or scroll the bar across the bottom ribbon to scroll through the book itself.
Thanks,

I appreciate the novelty for scrolling side-to-side for the "feel" like a paper-based bible or commentary. This is where such a mode might be considered best to remain- a novelty or secondary mode. I say that because once you get into the app in more than just light use or casual reading, the user (and honestly myself or other heavy users) has more interest in being able to use vertical scroll because:
1. it enables a more continuous read
2. You don't have the "lose reference" when flipping pages
3. Vertical scroll options predate any possibility of auto-scroll (which would be HUGE for all books in Android)
