Power Failure, now Indexing will not restart

The subject line says it all. While making the initial download of resources, Progress Energy decided to do their weekly exercise of shutting off power for a second or two which shuts down our computers. Now I cannot get L4 to even begin the download. I am running XP under VMWare Fusion version 2.

What do I do now.

I had a similar problem. What solved it for me was renaming the file called UserManger.db to UserManager.db.old

In Windows7 this was in C:\Users\<user>\appdata\local\Logos4\Users

I think on XP it will be in c:\document and settings\<user>\local settings\application data\Logos4\Users but can't be certain .. I would suggest searching for it.

After this, I logged in and it started the download again.

Thank you, James. I now see "Preparing to download", so I guess the process has restarted [Y]. Now, it only Progress Energy will just wait until it is finished [:P] This is all Joe Miller's fault. I was planning to wait until L4 Mac was more stable, but he made L4 sound so good that I was severely tempted. In my old age, temptation is hard to resist.[:$]
